The trekking starts today. Your guide will meet you at your accommodation in Marrakech for an early morning transfer by road from Marrakech to Imi Oughlad (1375 m). You will meet muleteers and load baggage. You will then trek to Tizi Oussem (1720m) via the N'Tacht pass (2000 m). Approximatively 5hrs walking.

Tizi Ousseum is a Berber village in the High Atlas Mountains, with a nice local gite! It's a stop trekkers do on their way up to Toubkal. The view is breathtaking, but we can guarantee that the way can be challenging; so be ready with your comfortable shoes.

This third day is a day to explore the area around Tizi Oussem which is your chance to get closer to the local life and maybe encounter some of local people working on their fields or trying to help their families bringing their daily needs. You will trek to a waterfall. Picnic lunch will be enjoyed in the open air. You will return to Tizi Oussem for a second night in a gite. 

From Tizi Oussem you will go up to the M'Zig pass at 2490m. Then descend to a village near Imlil (from 1800m-1920m) where you stay overnight in a gîte. Approximatively 5hrs walking. Imlil village is yet another beautiful Berber town. It's the perfect site to learn more about the nature and diversity of the High Atlas Mountains. Your local guide is always at your side for anything you need. Keep him informed if you have specific wishes or questions. 

On this day, you will trek to Toubkal Refuge (3207m). It will take you approximately 5 to 6hrs walking to get to the Refuge. Clients must bring their own sleeping bag for this night. The refuge's architecture and layout of the buildings were designed to fit the particular nature of the massif of the High Atlas and respect the traditional Berber habitat. Feel free to walk around and maybe a brilliant idea would be to put your feet in cold water to get them relaxed especially that you have a wonderful challenge next morning. 

Today, you will wake up well before dawn to begin your ascent of Mount Toubkal (4167m). Please keep in mind to walk on the line with your local guide and always inform him if you need to stop. He is at your disposal for your safety and also for any wishes or needs you have. Later you will descend to your starting point and stay overnight again at the Refuge. Approximatively 6-7hrs walking.

After breakfast, you walk down to Imlil village to meet transport. It will take you approximately 5 to 6hrs walking to get back to Imlil. You will have lunch in Imlil before your transfer back to Marrakech. You should arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon where you will spend in your accommodation. A great idea would be to get into a Moroccan Traditional Hammam (not included) to give your body the best local treatment needed!
